The Acworth Arts Alliance is committed to growing the arts in northwest Georgia.

Our focus is on exhibiting the richness of talent evident in the works of local artists and in sharing those talents with art lovers and budding artists of all ages.


Area artists create in varied forms, including watercolors, pastels, acrylics, oils as well as three-dimensional media. Membership are available to artists and patrons of the Alliance.



Community is of primary importance for the Acworth Arts Alliance. Classes are being offered by local artists and schedules are posted on this website and at the ART  HOUSE.

The Acworth Arts Alliance is a nonprofit organization founded in 2017 to promote and support the advancement of art and artistic education in the greater Acworth community. The AAA strives to achieve advancement of art and its culture through educational programs and the display of diverse art from many local artists.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on membership fees, sponsors, donations, grants, class fees, fundraisers and the help of dedicated volunteers. The City of Acworth has generously donated the space at the Art House for the Acworth Arts Alliance to use as their home for classes and art exhibits. We hope you will join us in supporting the arts!

Annual Memberships

All Memberships include our newsletter, and invitations to the Artists Reception for our exhibits.

  • Student/Senior: $25
  • Individual: $35
  • Family: $55
  • Member Artist: $75

Member Artists receive the above and will be eligible to display their artwork in the Art House "Member Artist Gallery", will be included on our website, and may participate in teaching programs offered by the Acworth Arts Alliance.

Founding Member Artist: $350 

Founding Member Artists receive all of the above and will be eligible to display their work in the Annual Founding Members Exhibit.

Annual Patrons

Patrons will receive our newsletter, invitations to the Artists’ Receptions for our Exhibits, and will be recognized on our website.

Acworth Arts Alliance Submission Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in the Acworth Arts Alliance “Art House.” Please follow these guidelines when submitting your art for review.
  • Please submit at least three works for consideration, one image each for two-dimensional work (paintings, photographs…) and no more than three images for each three-dimensional work (sculpture, ceramics, glass, etc.).  Include the medium used, size and price for each work.
  • Digital images can be emailed to the gallery director. Please include an artist’s statement, resume or biography.

Even after you are accepted, we reserve the right to decline any work that we feel is not appropriate for our gallery, which includes work that is improperly framed, wired or excessively large or expensive. Note: solo shows are strictly by invitation only
Exhibit Guidelines if accepted:
  • All canvas work must be framed or on one-inch wrap canvas with painted sides. All two-dimensional original work must be framed (unless gallery wrap), wired, ready to hang, titled along with artists contact information and price. Please no "Sawtooth" hangers. They don't work with our hanging system.
  • Prints must be matted, in a protective sleeve, titled along with artists contact information and priced. We will not hang giclee prints. They will be displayed in the print bin.
  • Three-dimensional work such as pottery, sculpture, glass, jewelry, must be labeled with price and artists name and contact info.
  • Art submissions will be featured in the gallery two to three months. It is the artist’s responsibility to rotate work at the end of the two month period.
"Featured Exhibit" Schedule:
August 4- September 29: "Transitions" Exhibit- Open Submissons (submission deadline: July 15) Artist Reception: August 4, Clelebrate Acworth! Open House: Sept.15, 6-9 p.m.
October 6-27: "Founding Members Exhibit" Submissions limited to "Founding Member Artists" (submission deadline: Sept. 15) Artist Reception: October 6, 6-9 p.m.
November 3- December 29: "Small Works Exhibit"- Open Submissions (submission deadline: October 15)
Artist Reception: November 3, Open House: December 1, 4-7 p.m.

 "TRANSITIONS" Featured Exhibit Artist Submission

"Transition" is used in a subjective way for this exhibit. The definition of "transition" is the process or a period of changing from one state or condition to another. Synonyms: change, passage, move, transformation, conversion, changeover...

Deadline for submissions for this exhibit: Sunday, July 15, 2018, at midnight. This exhibit will run from Saturday, August 4, through Saturday, September 29, 2018. An Artist Reception is planned for Saturday, August 4 from 6-9p.m. and a 'Celebrate Acworth!' Open House is planned for Saturday, September 15 from 6-9p.m.

Works must be original. Works in all mediums will be considered.  Two-dimensional pieces as large as  30"x40" will be considered for this exhibit. However, we will be looking for most pieces to be smaller than this. Two- and three-dimensional works will be considered. Please submit 3-10 pieces of two- and/or three-dimensional work.
