Your gift can be redeemed for an Art House artwork purchase, an art class or other merchandise! You will receive an email with a confirmation number to enclose in your own card. Or you may download a gift card for printing. Just fill out the card with the amount and the confirmation number.

Memberships and more

As a non-profit organization, we rely on membership fees, sponsors, donations, grants, class fees, fundraisers and the help of dedicated volunteers. The City of Acworth has generously donated the space at the Art House for the Acworth Arts Alliance to use as their home for classes and art exhibits. We hope you will join us in supporting the arts!

Annual Memberships

Memberships include our newsletter, and invitations to the Artists Reception for our exhibits.

“Member Artists” receive the above and are eligible to display artwork in the Art House "Member Artist Gallery", will be included on our website, attend Brown Bag Lunch Programs, participate in the Holiday Gift Shop and may participate in teaching programs offered by the Acworth Arts Alliance. “Member Artists” are also entitled to special discounts.

All Memberships, Patronages, and Donations to the Acworth Arts Alliance are tax-deductible. We thank you for your support of our efforts to offer art education, art exhibits and art appreciation to the greater Acworth community, Cobb County and the communities and counties surrounding us.

Please follow these guidelines when submitting your art for review.

• Please submit “up to the number” of works stated (for each exhibit) for consideration, one image each for two-dimensional work (paintings, photographs, etc.) and no more than three images for each three-dimensional work (sculpture, ceramics, glass, etc.). Include the title, medium used, size (including frame, if framed), price and your name for each work.

• Digital images should be emailed to the gallery director. Please include an artist’s statement, resume or biography if available.

Even after you are accepted, we reserve the right to decline any work that we feel is not appropriate for our gallery, which includes work that is improperly framed, wired or excessively large or expensive. We currently do not host “Solo Shows.”

Exhibit Guidelines if accepted:

• All canvas work should be one-inch or deeper gallery wrap canvas with painted sides, or canvases should be framed (if less than 1” deep). All two-dimensional original work must be framed (unless gallery wrap), wired, ready to hang, and labeled on the back with title, artists name, and price. NO "sawtooth" hangers! They don't work with our hanging system.

• Prints must be matted, in a protective sleeve, labeled on the back with title, artists name, and price. We do not hang giclee prints. Prints will be displayed in a print bin.

• Three-dimensional work such as pottery, sculpture, glass, jewelry, etc. must be labeled with title, price and artists name on the back or bottom of the piece.

• Art submissions will be featured in the gallery for the duration of the “Featured Exhibit”.

• Member Artist’s who have artwork on display in the “Member Artist Gallery” should exchange artwork during the delivery dates of the upcoming featured exhibits. The size of new pieces should be approved with the Art House Director in advance of the delivery, to assure space is available for that size. Member Artist’s should exchange works in the Member Artist Gallery every 2 to 3 months, to help the Art House maintain a fresh and current display of work.

January 9- February 27: “Things we Make”

Submissions open to “Member Artists” of the Acworth Arts Alliance (Submissions accepted: thru Monday, December 15) The idea behind “Things we Make” is to display and offer for sale a wide variety of artwork, both 2 and 3 dimensional. This is not about a specific subject matter. A variety of mediums is encouraged.

Two and Three Dimensional Works in any medium will be considered for this exhibit. Please submit up to four 2-dimensional pieces or up to six 3-dimensional pieces. Maximum size (inclusive of frame, if framed) to be considered is 24x36. All works submitted must be available for sale.

Delivery of works: Tuesday & Wednesday, January 5 & 6, Noon-6pm. Pick-up of works at the end of the exhibit: Tuesday & Wednesday, March 2 & 3, Noon-6pm.

Receptions: Saturday, January 9, 4-7pm and Saturday, February 6, 4-7pm.

Featured Exhibit Schedule for 2026

January 10- February 28: “Living on the Edge” Exhibit

Submissions open to “Member Artists” of the Acworth Arts Alliance (Submissions accepted: Wednesday, November 12 thru Monday, December 15) The idea behind the “Living on the Edge” is to display and offer for sale artwork that evokes special feelings for the artist and/or the viewer. This is not about a specific subject matter. “Living on the Edge” is different for everyone.

Two and Three Dimensional Works in any medium will be considered for this exhibit. Please submit up to four 2-dimensional pieces or up to six 3-dimensional pieces. Maximum size (inclusive of frame, if framed) to be considered is 24x30. All works submitted must be available for sale.

Delivery of works: Tuesday & Wednesday, January 6 & 7, Noon-6pm. Pick-up of works at the end of the exhibit: Tuesday & Wednesday, March 3 & 4, Noon-6pm.

Receptions: Saturday, January 10, 4-7pm and Saturday, February 7, 4-7pm.

March 7- April 28: “Our Town, Our Stories” Exhibit

Submissions open to artists who can hand deliver their work to the Art House. (Submissions accepted: Wednesday, December 17 until Sunday, February 15) The idea behind the “Our Town, Our Stories” Exhibit is to display and offer for sale artwork that is about Acworth and surrounding nearby areas… (Acworth images are always a hit!)

Two and Three Dimensional Works in any medium will be considered for this exhibit. Please submit up to four 2-dimensional pieces or up to six 3-dimensional pieces. Maximum size (inclusive of frame, if framed) to be considered is 18x24. All works submitted must be available for sale.

Delivery of works: Tuesday & Wednesday, March 3 & 4, Noon-6pm. Pick-up of works at the end of the exhibit: Tuesday & Wednesday, April 28 & 29, Noon-6pm.

Receptions: Saturday, March 7, 4-7pm and Saturday, April 4, 4-7pm.

May 2- July 4: “Juried Exhibit” - “Through the Artists Eye”

Submissions open to local artists who can hand deliver their work to the Art House. (Submissions accepted: Tuesday, February 17 until Wednesday, April 15) The theme for this exhibit is: “Through the Artists Eye”. A Juror will make the selections for this exhibit, and will judge the works accepted once they are hanging in the Art House. Our 2026 Juror is Kathy Rennell Forbes. A submission fee is associated with this exhibit. Non-Members: $35 for up to three 2-Dimensional or six 3-Dimensional entries. Members: $25 for up to three 2-Dimensional or six 3-Dimensional entries. Entry fees are non-refundable, and are used for the prizes for this exhibit.

Two and Three Dimensional Works in any medium will be considered for this exhibit. Please submit up to three 2-dimensional pieces or up to six 3-dimensional pieces. Maximum size (inclusive of frame, if framed) to be considered is 20x30. All works submitted must be available for sale.

Delivery of works: Tuesday & Wednesday, April 28 & 29 , Noon-6pm. Pick-up of works at the end of the exhibit: Tuesday & Wednesday, July 7 & 8, Noon-6pm.

Receptions: Saturday, May 2, 4-7pm and Awards Ceremony Saturday, June 6, 4-7pm

July 11-August 29: “Realism to Abstraction” Exhibit

Submissions open to local artists who can hand deliver their work to the Art House. (Submissions accepted: Friday, April 17 until Monday, June 15)

Two and Three Dimensional Works in any medium will be considered for this exhibit. Please submit up to three 2-dimensional pieces or up to six 3-dimensional pieces. Maximum size (inclusive of frame, if framed) to be considered is 16x20. All works submitted must be available for sale.

Delivery of works: Tuesday & Wednesday, July 7 & 8, Noon-6pm. Pick-up of works at the end of the exhibit: Tuesday & Wednesday, September 1 & 2, Noon-6pm.

Receptions: Saturday, August 1, 4-7pm.

September 5- October 31: “SIMA” Exhibit

Submissions open to “Students- Instructors- Member Artists” of the Acworth Arts Alliance, who can hand deliver their work to the Art House. (Submissions accepted: Wednesday, June 17 until Saturday, August 15) The theme for this exhibit is “Land, Sea and Beyond”.

Two and Three Dimensional Works in any medium will be considered for this exhibit. Please submit up to three 2-dimensional pieces or up to six 3-dimensional pieces. Maximum size (inclusive of frame, if framed) to be considered is 24x30. All works submitted must be available for sale.

Delivery of works: Tuesday & Wednesday, September 1 & 2, Noon-6pm. Pick-up of works at the end of the exhibit: Tuesday & Wednesday, November 3 & 4, Noon-6pm.

Receptions: Saturday, September 13, 4-7pm and Awards Ceremony Saturday, October 11, 4-7pm.

November 7- December 19: “Holiday Gifts & More”

Open Submissions (Submissions accepted Monday, August 17 thru Thursday, October 15) The idea behind the “Holiday Gifts & More” Exhibit is to display and offer for sale smaller pieces of two & three dimensional art, that are more affordable, and would make great gifts during the Holiday Gift Giving Season. Winter or holiday themed or “gift themed” subjects are encouraged!

Two and Three Dimensional Works in any medium will be considered for this exhibit. Please submit up to four 2-dimensional pieces or up to six 3-dimensional pieces. Maximum size (inclusive of frame, if framed) to be considered is 16x20.

Delivery of works: Tuesday & Wednesday, November 3 & 4, Noon-6pm. Pick-up of works at the end of the exhibit: Tuesday & Wednesday, January 5 & 6, 2027, Noon-6pm.

Receptions: Saturday, November 7, 4-7pm and Saturday, December 5, 4-7pm.
