Thank you for your interest in the Acworth Arts Alliance “Art House.” Please follow these guidelines when submitting your art for review.
Please submit at least three works for consideration, one image each for two-dimensional work (paintings, photographs…) and no more than three images for each three-dimensional work (sculpture, ceramics, glass, etc.). Include the title, medium used, size (including frame- if framed) and price for each work.
Digital images can be emailed to the gallery director. Please include an artist’s statement, resume or biography.

Even after you are accepted, we reserve the right to decline any work that we feel is not appropriate for our gallery, which includes work that is improperly framed, wired or excessively large or expensive. Note: solo shows are strictly by invitation only
Exhibit Guidelines if accepted:
All canvas work must be framed or on one-inch wrap canvas with painted sides. All two-dimensional original work must be framed (unless gallery wrap), wired, ready to hang, titled along with artists contact information and price. Please NO "Sawtooth" hangers. They don't work with our hanging system.
Prints must be matted, in a protective sleeve, titled along with artists contact information and price. We will not hang giclee prints. They will be displayed in a print bin.
Three-dimensional work such as pottery, sculpture, glass, jewelry, must be labeled with price and artists name and contact info.
Art submissions will be featured in the gallery two to three months. It is the artist’s responsibility to rotate work at the end of the two month period.

May 4-25: “High School Student Exhibit” (submission deadline: April 15) Two and Three Dimensional Works. Artist Reception: Saturday, May 4, 4-7 p.m.
June 1 - July 27: “1st Annual Juried Art Exhibit” Juror: Shane McDonald (submission deadline: May 1, 2019) Two and Three Dimensional Works. Entry Fee for up to 5 images: Member-Artist- $25-, Non-Member Artist- $35-. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the submission deadline. Prizes will be awarded at the Artist Reception. Artist Reception: Saturday, June 1, 4-7 p.m. No Reception in July.
August 3- 31: “Founding Members Exhibit” Submissions limited to “Founding Member Artists” (submission deadline: Monday, July 15) Artist Reception: Saturday, August 3, 4-7 p.m.
September 7- October 26: TBD (submission deadline: Thursday, August 15) Artist Reception: Saturday, September 7, 4-7p.m. Artist Reception: Saturday, October 5, 4-7p.m.
November 2- December 21: “Small Works” (submission deadline: Tuesday, October 15) Artist Reception: Saturday, November 2, 4-7p.m. Holiday Celebration: Saturday December 7, 4-7p.m.

Deadline for submissions for this exhibit: Wednesday, May 1, at midnight. This exhibit will run from June 1 - July 27 Juror: Shane McDonald. Two and Three Dimensional Works. Entry Fee for up to 5 images: Member-Artist $25-, Non-Member Artist $35-. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the submission deadline. Please mail submission fees to: The Art House, 4425 Cherokee Street, Acworth, GA 30101 or stop in the Art House to pay your submission fee in person. Prizes will be awarded at the Artist Reception, “Best of Show, 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, Honorable Mention, and a ‘People’s Choice’ award will be voted on at the Artist Reception: Saturday, June 1, 4-7 p.m. No Reception in July.
Entering Your Images:
-Submission form must be filled out completely. List sizes up the the nearest inch (including frame if framed). Submitted images must not include matting or frame.
Crop the photos to include only the artwork. Be sure your images are right-side-up.
-Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB. Images should be in JPEG format.
Maximum Frame Size: 30” x 36”, Minimum Frame Size: 11” x 14”
Selected entries must be framed and wired ready to hang, (no sawtooth hangers). White or off-white mats preferred. Label the back of your artwork with your name, address, phone number, email, title of artworks and price.
Accepted entries that do not conform to the above may be refused at the time of hanging.
The artwork must be available throughout the entire exhibit. It is preferred that all works are for sale.
Artists will be notified via email on May 10, 2019. Artists whose work is accepted by the juror will receive delivery instructions in this email. Artwork must be delivered to the Art House in person between May 21 and 23, between 12 and 6 p.m. We will not receive shipped work.
