2024 Calendar For North Georgia Plein-Air Artists
This year we are changing our day of the week to every 2nd Tuesdays of the month, to paint plein-air somewhere in North Georgia. The following destinations are just ideas for this year. We may follow the calendar unless some certain plants, trees, etc., are not blooming, or bad weather conditions, or a better idea, or the host doesn’t want us, lol. So please, don’t write these in stone. Dates, time & destination may change. It will be posted on our Facebook group page or you will receive an e-mail, with all the details, 1 or 2 days before date of activity. We have all levels from beginners to professionals, and learn so much from one another. So don’t be intimidated, and come join us. You don’t have to have all the equipment. Start simple, maybe just sketching first to see if you enjoy it. We’ll be sketching or painting, standing or sitting, we just like to get out and enjoy the day, meeting other artists and practice our skills on location. Hope to see you this year!

Mar 12: 10 - 3 pm - Art of Living Ministries Retreat in Ballground - Patricia Reeves beautiful
horse stable turned into a retreat with lake, and many beautiful acres. $10.00 or more for
donation to ministry and it’s a Pot luck. Bring some type of appetizer: hot or cold, bag of
chips, or something homemade or bought.

May 14: 10 - 1 pm - Bethlehems Garden & Gift Shop & Nursery in Dalton
Jun 11: 9 - 12 pm - Prater’s Mill In Varnell
Jul 9: 8 - 11 am - Old Rope Mill Park in Woodstock
Aug 13: 10 - 1 pm - Paint portrait of artist in Costume
Sep 10: 9 - 12 pm - Antique Store in Ellijay on the River
Oct 8: 10 - 1 pm - Oakland Cemetary in Atlanta
Oct 16: 2- 7 - (Sat) The Rock Garden in Calhoun (special light up ceremony starts @ 5)
Nov 12: 11 - 1 pm - Three Bears Farm or Cottonfields or War Angel Farms
Dec 10: 12 - 3 pm - Paint Christmas Cards together
